F A Q s
How much does the retreat cost?
We are dedicated to keeping the cost of this retreat as low as possible. The retreat is being offered on a sliding scale from $300-800 based on which room you choose as well as what you feel comfortable and able contributing. This includes 4 nights of a stay, dinners, and make-your-own breakfasts as well as all classes and activities. You can find specifics and sign up here.
What if this still feels like too much?
Talk to us! We want you to be here and happy to talk about reduced rates, payment plans, and barters.
Who are the facilitators?
Teagan is a yoga teacher, herbalist, dancer, and web designer. Jonah makes videos, music, and facilitates meditation in prison. They love building community and fostering healing through contemplative art.
What will the food be like?
Great question! Breakfasts will consist of fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, coffee, tea. Dinners will be vegetarian local cuisine. There will be plenty of dairy-free and gluten-free options. Reach out if you have any concerns!
Is this a silent retreat?
Nope! We are not holding a traditional meditation retreat schedule, nor keeping “noble silence” for the retreat. However, we may have short practice periods in silence and encourage a mindful use of talking throughout.
What kind of art will we be doing?
What kind of art have you been wanting to do more of? We will facilitate some group writing and somatic movement exercises, as well as optional contemplative sound-based and photographic exercises. That said, we encourage folks to do whatever you have been itching to do, whether it be visual media, performance art, you name it. At the end of the retreat, we’ll do a very low key share-and-tell of what we’ve each been working on.
